Safety

Safety is the highest priority at PRS. In our gravel pit there is the constant presence of heavy equipment, moving vehicles, uneven terrain, and changing work conditions. Every worker must stay alert, follow established safety procedures, wear the required personal protective equipment, and communicate clearly with others at the site. By making safety a daily commitment, accidents can be prevented, employees can return home safely, and operations can continue efficiently.

Wear high-visibility clothing in compliance with the Mine Safety and Health Administration

Only operate machinery if you have the proper training and certifications.

Maintain a safe travel distance between trucks & machines, especially when visibility is poor.

Watch out for bench and highwall hazards, and other obstacles.

Obey posted speed limits and warning signs.

Use spotters to guide equipment when in tight spaces or if visibility is limited.
